Since the cottages' early days we have added a bedroom, a modern bathroom and kitchen. We hope we have made it comfortable without compromising the charm of the place.

The bedroom has an old four poster bed with a new mattress, dressing gowns for your convenience and is fully carpeted to protect your toes on cold mornings.

The kitchen is fully equipped. Tea and coffee are complementary as are the home baked biscuits. However please don't forget that we can supply meals and that breakfasts are included in the tariff.

The sitting/dinning room has a sofa bed and a wood burning fire. There is plenty of wood however if you don't feel comfortable lighting or using the fire there are electric heaters available. The room also has an old oak dining table for those romantic candlelit dinners.

The bathroom has a shower, heated towel rail and vanity. The shower is big enough for two as long as you both really really like each other.

There is also a tiled utility room containing an old tub and access to the back door. This is a wet area for boots, waders and for cleaning the vast numbers of trout that can be pulled from the Pohangina river.
