Konewa Cottage is a charming one bedroom cottage set 500 metres off the road in a developing Walnut Grove in the beautiful Pohangina Valley.

Often called the Jewel of the Manawatu the Pohangina Valley is certainly a treasure. Largely unexplored by anyone other than locals, peace and quiet can virtually be guarenteed along with fine tramping and fishing opportunities.

The Pohangina Valley is lovely at any time of the year whether you are swimming in one of the many secluded swimming holes to escape the hot dry summers or standing awestruck by the colourful autumn leaves.

In spring the valley is filled to overflowing with lambs, fawns, calves and daffodils (remind me to tell you about Loo, the sheep who fell into the abandoned long drop).

Winter brings snow and ice, red wine and blazing fires.
